Laurie Mae Miles

The family and friends of Laurie Mae Miles of Grosse Ile, Michigan are so sad to announce her passing. Laurie died at the age of 63 on May 25, 2023 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Laurie was born on November 28, 1959 at Delray Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and was raised by her parents Paul and Alice Peer. She had a large and loving family that included eight siblings. She was united in marriage to her best friend Tim Miles who was her partner in life.

Laurie had a love for people and they always seemed to gravitate towards her. Above everything, her greatest passion was her family; She loved spending time with her husband Tim, her family, and her many friends. She had a warm, energetic personality that made people feel at ease right away. She was always eager to help others around her and had an ability to sense when people needed her help. She touched many people with her generosity and caring spirit. She was a true animal lover and cared greatly for her pets and the animals around her community. She was also attracted to angels and often gifted them to others as a source of strength, grace, and love. Laurie loved anything bright and colorful, especially things with bling, glitter, and sequins.

She had a contagious sparkle for life and she enjoyed many fun adventures at her cottage up north with her family. Her loyalty for those she loved was unwavering and steadfast. She was a do-er and if anything needed to be done for anyone, she was there.

The brightness, the love, and the warmth she shared with family and friends will live in our hearts forever.

Laurie is survived by her beloved husband Timothy Miles, her loving siblings; Paula Sparks, Cynthia (Paul) Ramsey, Jennifer Brennan, David (Ramona) Peer, Pamela Yenrick, and Tamara (David) Trouten, her mother-in-law Mildred Miles, her sisters and brothers-in-law; Gordon (Sheila) Miles, Veronica (Terry) Baxter, Valerie (Ron) Nicholson, Beth (David) Hill, Bridget (James) Desana, Christopher Miles, Jennifer (Kevin) Dermody, Douglas (Cynthea) Miles, Kevin (Christine) Miles, and Melissa (William) Bates, as well as many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.

Laurie was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Alice Peer, her sister Judith Mazurco, her brother Daniel Peer, and her brother-in-law Paul Yenrick.

Funeral arrangements for Laurie have been entrusted to the Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 West Road, 48183.
