Laurie Adelia Moscarello

Loving mother of Valaurie Moscarello, Bradley (Cheryl) Moscarello, Gregory Moscarello, and Rebecca Moscarello. Proud grandma of Paul, Christie, Larie, Angelina, Corey, Desirae, Jodee, Lea, and Angelo. Great-grandma of 7. Great-great-grandma of two. Proceeded in death by her husband Valentine and two grandsons, Valentine and Bo. Memorial donations in Laurie’s honor may be made to Michigan Humane Society. Laurie was a member at Allen Park Presbyterian Church since 1960; where she served on several committees, was a Credit Union Board Member, and taught Sunday school for ten years. She was also a member of NAFE, PTA, Allen Park Overture Society, Allen Park Elks (Does), VFW Auxiliary, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Dearborn Community Theartre, and Downriver Council of the Arts and the Detroit Art Institute. Laurie also spoke for the HOT program at many schools and was a Member and Newsletter Editor with the Allen Park Community Council. Laurie worked for Melvindale Northern Allen Park School District and was retired from serving as secretary to the Strong Middle School principal; she also enjoyed teaching Drama as an after school activity. In her spare time, Laurie enjoyed tap dancing, photography, writing, painting, and traveling. She tap danced for several fund raisers and other events. Laurie also had a successful in-home cake decorating business for several years and did some modeling in the 80’s-90’s at the Southland Mall.
