Laura M. LaDuke died on July 22, 2022 in Monroe, Michigan. The daughter of Orland Eder and Kathryn (Lowden) Eder. Laura was born on Christmas Day, 1937 in Jackson, Michigan and was named after her grandmother Laura Mae. She graduated from Airport High School and was employed as the Principal's Secretary at Waterloo School in Monroe. Her favorite position was as a bus driver for Jefferson Schools; she loved her students and keeping them safe. On December 3, 1955 she married Louis (Whitey) LaDuke and they had three sons. L. Glenn (Beth) LaDuke, Jeffery (Zina) LaDuke and Gregory LaDuke. Laura loved her grandchildren, Dana (Phil) Stamper, Aaron (Jennifer) LaDuke, Lisa (Craig) Stinson, Eric LaDuke and Matthew (Abbey) LaDuke. Her great grandchildren are Macy and Trevor Stamper, William and Rose LaDuke, Gavin and Gracie Stinson and Theo LaDuke. Laura is survived by sisters Sandra Barton, Janet (Jim) Van Buskirk, Cheryl (John) Nation, Charlene (Garry) Hall and brother, William Eder. Laura was preceded in death by her husband in 2020, parents, brothers James, Russell and Richard Eder and sister Marcia McDonald. Laura loved to paint and was an excellent cook. She was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am Monday August 1, 2022 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 8125 Swan Creek Rd., Newport, MI 48166. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Church and/or the donor’s choice.
