Kent D. Miller, age 75 of Flat Rock, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 in San Tan Valley, Arizona. Born May 29, 1940 in Waltz, Kent was the son of Harold Arthur "Art" and Arline (Erbel) Miller. He married the love of his life, Sandra Lehman, on August 9, 1958. Sadly she preceded him in death April 26, 2005. As a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Kent was a member of the Marine Corps League. His hobbies included golfing, backpacking, whitewater rafting, and hydroplane boat racing as well as being a youth hockey coach at one time. He especially enjoyed roughhousing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kent was also known to be a very talented carpenter, painter and artist. As such, many members of the family were fortunate to have received his hand painted Christmas villages throughout the years and his hand decorated Christmas cookies. Kent leaves to cherish his memories his children: Kent Wade (Theresa) Miller of Chandler, Arizona, Trishia Hope (Tony) Fedon of Bonsall, California and Derrick Edward (Elizabeth) Miller of Burke, Virginia; six grandchildren: Austin Miller, Brenee' Jones, Anthony Douglas Fedon, Krista Fedon, Alexander Miller and William Kent Miller, four great grandchildren: Aniston Covarrubias, Carter Miller, Kade Jones and Kennedy Miller; as well as his brother: Gerald "Jerry" (Sue) Miller of Willow. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Kent's honor are asked to consider the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation.
