Born in Monroe, Kenneth was the son of Dean "Gobby" and Hazel (Jeffs) Kuhlman. A 1956 graduate of Monroe High School he also attended Monroe County Community College. Throughout his life Ken worked for Jim Spas Standard on North Dixie Highway, 20 years as a Trailer Mechanic for Jones Transfer, and later at Ace Union Fire in Monroe. Ken was a member of the Brest Bay Gun Club for 51 years and the Boy Scouts of America Troop 44 of Monroe. He was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church of Oscoda, the United Methodist Men, as well as his community neighborhood watch. His hobbies included woodworking, watching University of Michigan Wolverines and San Francisco 49ers football with family and friends. Ken loved being part of his home and church community. His life was not based on how much you had, but how much you were able to give to those around you. Ken is survived by Rose Marie Buckler, his loving wife of the past 28 years; children: Bill (Trish) Kuhlman of LaSalle, Dean Kuhlman of Toledo, Bob (Lisa) Kuhlman of Dundee, Ken Brodbeck of Newport, Beth (Richard) Parrish of Petersburg and Emory Brodbeck of Newport; as well as 7 grandchildren: Sydney Kuhlman, Heather (Kaleb) Seger, Katelin Stuchel, Adam Stuchel II, Alex Brodbeck, Amelia Brodbeck and Brennen Parrish; 4 great grandchildren: Lauryn Seger, Evalynn Seger, Adam Stuchel III and Bella Seger; and a sister Janet (Larry) LeTouneau of Monroe. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Kay Smith Kuhlman, and a brother LaVern Kuhlman. Ken was a man that lived life to the fullest. Everyone he met would hear one of his stories that usually included football, the civil war, and/or politics. He will surely be missed but never forgotten, for the lives in each and every one of his family and friends.
