Her artistic medium included metalsmithing, holloware, jewelry, lapidary and enameling. In the summer of 1987, she was commissioned to prepare four cloisonne replicas of the pope’s coat of arms. Each plaque to be mounted on the back of the four chairs Pope John Paul the II would be using on his visit to Michigan that September. Kathy also had other commissions from making pendants for the Red Wings to designing one-of-a-kind wedding rings.
Kathy was called home on September 4, 2022. She is survived by 2 daughters, 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She was loved by so many and already missed. She will never be forgotten and will be in our hearts forever.
