Katherine Ensley

Katherine Ensley, of Rockwood, passed away March 23, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Steven Fisher and Howard Ensley. Loving mother of the late Lorraine (Dave) Helka, and the late Steven (Diana) Fisher. Step mother of Rick (Betty) Ensley, Mark (Linda) Ensley and Kathy Stevenson. Grandmother of Steve (Pam) Fisher, Michelle Helka, Lori Fisher, Lisa (Joe) Alamat, Jason (Gladys) Fisher and Brian Helka; eight step grandchildren and a loving abundance of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Katherine and Paul Polander; her siblings, Steven Polander, John Polander, Paul Polander and Gertrude Polander; her step siblings, Emma Suhey and Samuel Suhey.

Katherine enjoyed travelling, especially to her favorite place, Las Vegas, where she could play slot machines. She enjoyed playing bingo and dancing. She was often taking her grandchildren to McDonalds for an ice cream cones, and sewing the clothes that they needed fixing.

Visitation will take place at The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes- Ford Chapel on Monday March 27, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 28, 2023 at 11 am at the funeral home. Following the service, burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, South Rockwood.
