Katherine C. Kelly, of Riverview, passed away on November 16, 2021 at her home after a prolonged illness. Beloved wife of the late Allen Kelly. Katherine is preceded in death by her husband Allen, her two sons, Patrick and Timothy Kelly; her parents, Robert and Florence Hebestreit, her siblings, Jean (Leonard) Suzor, Patricia (Richard) Pillon, Robert (Frances) Hebestreit, Sr. Marie Immaculta, Joyce (Jack) Derian, Charles Hebestreit and son in law Richard Kline. She is survived by her children, Kim Kelly- Kline, John (Aura- Lea) Kelly, Kathleen (William) Singer, Kolleen (James) Laming) and Klaudine (Kenneth) Johnson; her sister in law, Donna Hebestreit; her grandchildren, Molly (Tom) Weaver, Allen Kelly, Noah (Nicole) Kelly, Mariah Kelly, Heather (Kevin) Rutherford, Shelby (Trevor) Laming- Angelo, Kyle Laming, Dustin Alvey; and her great grandchildren, Hudson, Dylan and Theodore Weaver, Logan, Laney and Caleb Kelly, Charlotte and Sophia Kelly, Olivia, Jase and Hunter Rutherford. Katherine was known as mom at home but Katie at work. She was very involved with St. Cyprian Catholic Church, where she served as a eucharistic minister and on the pastoral and vicariate counsel. She provided eucharistic ministries to local nursing homes and taught third grade catechism. She helped with Christmas and Easter decorating and helped set up for funerals and weddings. She was a hotel front desk manager for over 25 years at the Holiday Inn formerly the Presidential Inn. She also worked at Ralph Ridge Funeral Home as a receptionist for many years after retiring from her full-time work. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Cyprian Food Pantry.
