Karen Marie (Liphardt) Hall, 69, of Holland, OH entered into eternal rest on October 6th, 2021 in her favorite city, Charleston, SC. Karen loved taking carefree strolls and taking pictures of the stunning architecture and beautiful flowers and landscapes of Downtown Charleston and the surrounding areas. If she wasn’t there, you would probably find her on the beach enjoying every second of the sun, sand and salty ocean air. The little moments, like sitting on the back porch in her favorite rocking chair, drinking a cup of coffee and enjoying some conversation brought her great joy. The only thing better than any of that for Karen was spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren: spending time helping Ashleigh plan for her college years at Clemson, attending Hollie’s volleyball and soccer games and then going out to eat, spending time listening to Derek’s stories while he played in his cowboy hat and boots, sharing “Papa Mints” and stories about Papa’s trains with Mason Gabriel, watching Torrie grow up, and the joy of watching all baby Emma’s firsts and capturing them all on video for us to enjoy with her. Karen spent her life helping others, whether it was a friend in need of love and encouragement or a family member who needed someone to care for them during a time of illness. She gave all of her time and energy to those she loved, and it gave her great happiness to do so. Karen married the love of her life, Gabriel, in 1975. They shared 42 years together, along with 3 children, Danielle, Kristin & Elliott. They enjoyed taking the kids to their favorite place, Sanibel Island, where they shared so many wonderful memories over the years. Karen is once again with her husband Gabriel, parents Claire & Bernard Liphardt, Clifford Voss, her sister Gail, brother-in-laws, John Hall, Clayton Haupt & Dominic (Denise) Hall, as well as so many beloved members of both the Hall & Liphardt families. Left to grieve her loss are her children, Danielle (Todd) Mitchell, Kristin (Pete) Pedersen & Elliott (Kaylee) Hall. She was the proud grandmother of Ashleigh Hill, Torrie & Mason Mitchell, Hollie & Derek Pedersen and Emma Hall. Dear sister of Renee (Ed) Sandor, Richard Liphardt, Marla Liphardt, Tim (Julie) Liphardt, Marion (Virginia) Hall, Mary Haupt, Rosemary Noe & Kim Hall. Dearly missed by Aunt Suzanne Liphardt and many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her love and laughter. The family encourages everyone to please wear a mask while at the funeral home for visitation and also at the church for the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the nurses that cared for Karen. Please click on the go fund me link below to donate.
