Karen Elizabeth Harmon

Karen Elizabeth Harmon, age 80 of Monroe, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 in her home.

Born May 17, 1942 in Monroe, Karen was the daughter of Carl and Cecelia (Balla) Godfred. A graduate of Monroe High School, she married the love of her life, Clyde Harmon, in 1960. Sadly he preceded her in death in 2006. A dedicated homemaker, she also had worked in the office at Monroe Steel Castings and People’s Federal Bank.

Karen leaves to cherish her memory her sons: David Harmon, Aaron Harmon and Craig Harmon; two grandchildren: Heather Noble and Erin Johnson; as well as four siblings: Suzanne (Paul) Kiley, Christine Lifer, Mary Taylor and Douglas Godfred; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Kurt Harmon and Keith Harmon; a brother Larry Godfred and a brother-in-law Gregory Lifer.

A celebration of Karen’s life has been planned under the direction of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes-Allore Chapel.
