Judyth Ann Shabinaw, 72, of Newport, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014 in the Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. She was born September 24, 1941 Guthrie, OK to Charles and Marie (Griggs) Streeter. On August 20, 1978 she married Leland F. Shabinaw in Dublin, CA, and he survives. Judy was a 1959 graduate of Mt. Diablo High School in Concord, CA, after graduation she went to work at Fitzpatrick Chevrolet, but she spent the majority of her career working in the banking field, 20 years with Fidelity Savings, and then retiring, in 2002, after many years from 1st Magnus Financial Corporation in Concord. She and Leland moved to Newport, to a home she loved, in 2009. After retirement, she became a true homemaker, and she was surrounded by their family who will remember her for her fantastic cooking. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, and entered her quilts in the Monroe County Fair, winning Best in Show 2 years in row, 2012 and 2013, winning $3.00 per year and trophies. Judy was a member of the Berlin Township Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing cards. As well as her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory her mother and stepfather, Marie (Weldy) Johnson of Bothell, WA; her children, Brad (Robbin Dearborn) Hanson of Newport, Wade Andrew Hanson of San Francisco, CA, Bob (Bonnie) Shabinaw of Newport, and Mary Alice (Mark) Stotler of Trenton; grandchildren, Logan and Braden, Travis and Ciara, Kyle, Chase, and Cole; and a great grandson, Jacob. Sadly, her father, and brother, Fred Streeter, both preceded her in death. The family will be holding visitation at the Ford Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 23620 N. Huron River Drive, Rockwood, MI, on Friday from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m., where funeral services to celebrate her life will be held that evening at 7:00 p.m. Rev. James Castleman will officiate. The R. J.
