Judith A. Ward

Judith Ann Ward passed away peacefully in her Flat Rock home on December 11, 2024, at the age of 73. Judy, as she was known by her beloved family and friends, was known for her kind, loving and humorous personality. She will be dearly missed and remembered by the many lives she has touched.

Judy was born on November 7, 1951 in Allentown, Pennsylvania to Raymond and Grace Hahn. Judy shared a special love with "that weirdo boy" who lived next door, who became her high school sweetheart, husband and lifelong best friend Wally Ward III. Their relationship was filled with love, laughter, trust and compassion that lasted more than 55 years.

Judy is survived by her husband, her two adoring children, Wendy Winstead of Okanogan, Washington and Christopher Ward of Flat Rock, Michigan along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Judy also leaves behind a very close loving sister, Kathy (Hahn) Ward of Covington, Louisiana.

At Judy's side until the very end was her loving feline companion Gizmo. Their human-feline bond was so strong that Gizmo spends much of the day staring at her photo, clearly missing his human dearly.

Judy will be interred after an intimate family ceremony at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery on December 16, 2024. The family asks for prayers during this difficult time.
