Joyce Mahan

Born in Caryville, Tennessee, Joyce was the daughter of Henry and Lizzie (Smith) Harrison. She married the love of her life, Eugene Mahan, on May 8, 1949. Sadly he preceded her in death January 26, 1989. A dedicated homemaker, Joyce also had worked for Evans Janitorial and delivered newspapers for the Monroe Evening News. She enjoyed cooking and playing instant lottery "scratch off" tickets, but her most treasured times where those spent with family, especially her grandchildren. Joyce leaves to cherish her memory her children: Daniel Mahan of Carleton, Melissa (George) Davey of Monroe, Michael (Joy) Mahan of Toledo and George (Heather) Mahan of Syracuse, New York; grandchildren: Amber (Shawn), Ashley, Jimmy (Ashley), Anthony (Sky), Amy, Kimberly (Tyler), Madison, Amanda, Bailey, Ryleigh, Tori, Katie and Elijah; as well as her great grandchildren: Brenden, Nicholas, Carter, R.J., Aidin, Gavin, Aubree, Logan, Khloe, Lucas, Mackenzie, Bryson, Abi, Octavia, Madison and Gabbi. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings: Mary Smith, Edna Schaffer, Jake Harrison and Robert Harrison.
