Josephine D. Terrasi

Josephine D. Terrasi, age 73 of Monroe, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at 3:12 a.m.

Born September 13, 1950, Josephine was the daughter of John and Leona (Firetto) Fiorini. A high school graduate of Immaculata High School, she married the love of her life, John Terrasi, on September 13, 1969. Josephine graduated from Monroe County Community College and became a Registered Nurse. She spent many years working at the Health Department where she became the first Certified Diabetes Educator in Monroe County. Josie was a devout member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Monroe and later St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Josephine was a woman with many talents and hobbies, including being an avid Canasta player, bocce ball and bowling. Above all, her most precious memories were those spent with her family, children and grandchildren.

Josephine leaves to cherish her memory, John, her husband of the past 54 years; her children: Jon Paul Terrasi, Jennifer (Dennis) Bailey, Jessica (Neil) Jones and Jaimie Terrasi; 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; as well as three siblings: Catherine (David) Smith, Marie (Dave) Schipper and Angela Betleja. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Rosemary Terrasi and granddaughter Lilly.
