Joseph T. Scheich

Joseph passed away at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Mercy Ann Arbor Hospital surrounded by his family Born in Maybee, Joseph was the son of Joseph and Fern (Steffas) Scheich. He married the love of his life, Donna Lee Straub, on April 12, 1959. Joseph worked as a Hi-Lo Driver for General Motors for over 31 years. A faithful member of Divine Grace Parish-St. Joseph Chapel he also served his community for over 20 years with the London/Maybee/Raisinville Fire Department. Joseph could often be found woodworking in his shed, bowling or playing pool. He enjoyed going to his cabin on the lake on weekends, visiting the casino and meeting with his buddies at the Next Door Lounge for coffee, but his most treasured times were those spent with his family Joseph leaves to cherish his memory, Donna, his wife of the past 62 years; children: Pat (Troy) Stein, Gerry Scheich and Gloria (Bob) Ryan; as well as 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a sister Sue (Ben) Salenbien and a sister-in-law Rita Scheich. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Sandy Wertenberger and two brothers: Jimmy Scheich and Robert Scheich.
