Click on the tribute wall above to view Joseph's video tribute. Joseph Bialowicz of Allen Park (most recently of Westland) passed away May 13, 2021 at the age of 92. He was born and raised on the West Side of Detroit. He was a 1947 Graduate of Holy Redeemer High School and received his Bachelor and Masters Degrees at University of Detroit Mercy. Joe and his wife, the late Theresa Mjarton (d2003) were married for 52 years. He was an adored father to Jacklyn Demorow (Gerald), Jane Charron (Michael) John (Nancy Perlacki), Mathew (Lisa Bowman) Susan Edward (George), Mark (d1983) and Laura. He was Papa Joe to 16 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandson and will also be missed by many other cousins, nieces and nephews and good friends. He had a very rewarding 43 1/2 year career at Allen Park Schools serving in several capacities; counselor, teacher, and administrator, finding joy and true sense of purpose in enriching the lives of his students and their families, whom he missed in his retirement. Joe has said, "He always cherished being a part of the Allen Park School System and all the wonderful relationships he experienced there". Joe was a humble and compassionate man who had a deep faith in God and in mankind in general. He enjoyed playing cards, reading, traveling, golfing, was an avid Tiger fan as well as a long-time frustrated Lions fan. Memorial Gathering will be at Martenson's Allen Park Chapel, Friday, June 4th 2 - 9. Gathering at St Mary Magdalen, Melvindale, Saturday, June 5th from 10 - 11 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00. In lieu of gifts of flowers and or food, family has requested donations be made to American Lung Association, Alzheimer's Disease Research, and Manresa Jesuit Retreat House.
