Johnnie "Polly" Piskos

Piskos, Johhnie "Polly", Jan 6, age 87, formerly of Allen Park. She is survived by her son George (Kimberly) Piskos of Dearborn and Julie (Eric) Rooney of Riverview. Also survived by her grand daughter Hailey Doe Rooney of RIverview. She was preceded in death by her husband James George Piskos and her parents John Paul and Irene McCutcheon of Benton, Arkansas. Mrs. Piskos was born in Benton, Arkansas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Henderson State University and a Master of Education at University of Arkansas. She retired after 28 years of teaching children with hearing impairment in Arkansas, Indiana and Michigan. She was selected as an outstanding teacher by students, parents, colleagues and administrators of Wayne County Intermediate School District in Michigan. Before moving to Florida in 2004 she was a member of Arkansas Chapter of National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
