John Paul Connors

John Paul Connors, age 88, of Roseville, MI, died September 22, 2017. Mass Intention will be said at St. Francis Cabrini Church, 9000 Laurence Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101 on October 7th at 5 pm and October 15th, 22nd and 29th at 7 pm. He will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery on September 28th at 11 am, with military honors. Born October 9th, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of William and Gertrude (Sommer) Connors. John served in the U.S. Army, where he received a Bronze Star, Occupation Medal Japan, Korean Service Medal W/2, United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, as well as several distinguished unit citations. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Anthony and Francis. He is survived by his brother, Joseph, as well as his sons, Kevin, John Paul and Christopher.
