John Junior Curry

Born in Harlan, Kentucky, John was the son of Bill and Joyce (Calahan) Curry. He married Darlene Nance who sadly preceded him in death. He then married the love of his life, Sharon Surber, on September 22, 1984. When John lived in the south he worked in the Coal Mines of Kentucky. After moving to Monroe, he held various positions with the City of Monroe, Banas Lumber, Carter Lumber and Mann's Lumber. John was an avid College Football Fan as well as a NASCAR Fan. He at one time was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. John leaves to cherish his memory, Sharon, his wife of the past 32 years; children: Ryan Curry of Monroe and Sarah Curry of Monroe, siblings: David Curry of Harlan, Kentucky, Paul (Linda) Curry) of Harlan, Kentucky, Bobby (Mary) Curry of Harlan, Kentucky and Vicky Shephard of Cumberlin, Kentucky. In addition to his first wife, John was preceded in death by a daughter Tonya Michelle Curry; his parents and three siblings: Earl Curry, Kathy Jackson and Brenda Hensley. In Lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honor of John may be made to his family to assist with funeral expenses.
