Jim was born in Malta on September 3, 1933 to Horatio and Marianna Muscat. He is preceded in death by them and his first wife, Nazzarena. Loving husband of Antonia. Beloved father of Mary (Martin), Grace (the late Timothy) and Jimmy (fiancé, T’ayre). Cherished grandfather of Sonny (Allison), Michael, Julia, Miranda, Nickolas, Diana, Madilyn, Marlene, Melina and Joseph. Proud great grandfather of Lydia and Jack. Step father of Sally (Mike) and Janet (Matt). Step grandfather of Brian, Lyndi (Yonas). Jayme (Jason), and Lisa (Joe). Step great grandfather of Joseph, Rylee, Aubree, Hayden, Mila, Ellie, Gia and Nora. Dear brother of Pio, Charles, Vicky, Mary, Josephine, Vanna, Joe, Cynthia, Emmanuel, Paulina, Lucy, Frank and the late Alessio. He is survived by many loving family members including his sibling’s spouses, and many nieces and nephews. As the eldest brother he played a very important role in his family. During World War II, Jim helped run the family farm. He came to North America in 1953 and created a wonderful life for himself and his family. He sponsored every relative that immigrated to the United States and never hesitated to help when they needed him. Jim created a successful business, where he put in tireless hours and endless sacrifice. He was very hard working and humble. He had a passion for the outdoors. Especially hunting and fishing. Salmon fishing in August, deer, turkey, and pheasant hunting at his properties, and charter fishing off the coast of Florida to name a few – but always with friends and family. He also immensely enjoyed gardening and making wine. Jim had an array of hobbies and passions including being a founding member of the Dearborn Maltese American Club, devoting his faith to the Catholic church and going to the casino. He was extremely well-traveled; he took many international trips to visit family and loved going on cruises. He cherished quality time spent and the memories it created with family and friends.
