John Jerome Gorecki Iii

John Jerome Gorecki, age 76 of Riverview, passed away March 2, 2025.

Born March 2, 1949 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, John was the son of John and Josephine (Stanko) Gorecki. A graduate of Valparaiso High School, he continued his education at Purdue University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. John married the love of his life, Mary Featherstone on June 29, 1979. Sadly she preceded him in death February 6, 2023. He had worked for National Steel and the Sidock Group at Detroit Edison. John was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wyandotte and the Trenton Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and camping, as well as watching Purdue and Pittsburgh sports.

John leaves to cherish his memory his son John Gorecki; as well as three siblings Joan, Cindy and Anita.
