John G. Radu

John was born on January 4, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan and died on June 24, 2016 at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital at the age 92. Beloved husband of 65 years to the late LaDona. Loving dad of Bob (Mickey), Kevin (Joni), Terri Susterka and Tammi (Wayne) Smith. Proud grandpa of Joe (Britt), Chris (Trish), Michael, (Becky) and Rachael. Great grandpa of Alex, Ryan, Cheyenne, Abel and Jacob. John was a graduate of Pershing High School who proudly served his Country in the United Stated Army during WW II as part of the 82nd Airborne Division. He retired as an Inspector from Ford Motor CO-Woodhaven Stamping Plant. John was an avid sports fan who loved the Detroit Tigers; his family was the love of his life and he also enjoyed a good meal and going to the casino. His family would like to thank Henry Ford Hospice for the excellent care they gave to John. Visitation is Monday 2 – 8 pm at The Trenton Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd. The Funeral service is Tuesday 10 am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or to the National Kidney Foundation.
