John E. Kinney, Sr.

John E Kinney Sr, took his final breath surrounded by loved ones on October 1, 2023 at the age of 61. John a husband to Ponderosa (Pondy), a Father to Ashley (Phil), John Jr, and Justin (Kat). A Papa to Brook-Lyn, Peighton, Vivianne, Valerie, Khayden, and Isabella. A Son to Joseph and Judith, a brother to Joe (Chrysti). John an uncle to Nikki (Robert) and Juli. A Great Uncle to Rylee and Robert Jr (RJ).

John cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. He was an animal lover. Daisy and Bub were his dogs. He always looked forward to the trips up north to deer camp with the guys and the boat trips to fish with his brother and boys. John was also really into music of any genre.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Friday October 20th, 2023 from 3:00pm-9:00pm, Memorial Service 5:00pm, at the Ford Chapel- Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 23620 N. Huron River Dr., Rockwood, MI 48173.

John’s final resting place will be at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery in Huron Twp., where a small service will be held on Saturday October 21st, 2023 from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Please meet the family in front of the cemetery by the white office, which is located on the corner of Huron River Dr. and Willow Rd.
