John C. Milewski was born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania on May 15, 1928 and passed away peacefully at his home on December 13, 2022 at the age of 94; he was a resident of the city of Wyandotte for 47 years. Beloved husband of 37 years to the late Herta (Albrecht) Milewski and of 25 years to the late Regina Taylor. Loving father of John Milewski, Susan (Johnny) Sekmistrz, Joseph (Maria) Milewski and Barbara (George) Lesko. Proud grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 6. Also survived by many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 siblings. John proudly served his Country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; he retired from service as an E8 Master Sergeant. Visitation is on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 3 pm to 8 pm at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton. At 6:00 PM on Thursday there will be an Honor Guard Service, led by the Downriver Honor Guard. John will lie in state at St. Stephen Catholic Church, New Boston on Friday, December 23, 2022 from 10:30 am until the time of the Funeral Liturgy which will begin at 11 am. Memorial contributions to honor John’s life may be made as the donor chooses.
