It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. John Belamaric, a beloved father, husband, grandfather, and physician, who peacefully left us on October 22nd, 2024 at the age of 90. Born on August 28, 1934, Dr. Belamaric lived a life marked by resilience, compassion, and a deep commitment to helping others.
His early years in former Yugoslavia, were marked by the challenging times of World War II. His family emigrated to Argentina, where he emerged with a strength of character that shaped his lifelong passion for healing. He pursued medicine with a dedication that would lead him to become a respected physician, always prioritizing the well-being of his patients and community.
Over the course of his esteemed career, he touched countless lives, not just with his medical expertise, but with his kindness and empathy. To his colleagues, he was an inspiring mentor and to his family, a source of unwavering love and support.
Dr John, as he was often called, was a passionate world traveler (with his beloved wife Marilyn always by his side), artfully photographing his journeys from early travels in Asia in the 1960’s through his later years. His curiosity about the universe was boundless. Dr. John was a sportsman who enjoyed sailing, tennis, skiing, windsurfing and was even game for repelling 120 foot cliffs in Arizona in his 70’s. Dr. John was a master gardener, who maintained his home and patiently tended to his beautiful orchids with the same immense care and enthusiasm that he exhibited in all aspects of his life.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn, daughters Diana (Terry) Kramer, Julie (Dennis) Reno, son John (Robin) Belamaric and five loving grandchildren, (DJ, Jake, Owen, Alex, and Joslyn) who will forever cherish his memory, his wisdom, and the lessons he imparted.
Dr. Belamaric will be remembered not just for his professional accomplishments, but for his extraordinary character, compassion, and love for those around him.
