John B. Bores

John B. Bores, age 91 of Monroe, passed away July 12, 2024.

Born February 16, 1933 in Harlan, Kentucky, John was the son of John and Maggie (Farley) Bores. John worked at Monroe Steel Castings for over 32 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and former member of the Monroe Eagles. John was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as an occasional trip to the casino, but his most treasured times were those spent with his family.

John had cherished memories with his children Johnnie Ann Bores-deceased, Nora (David) Croley, Elizabeth-deceased (Kenneth) Seibert, and Faye (Keith) Cornelius; as well as 6 grandchildren: David (Halie) Croley son of Nora, Kristine (Spencer) Brogan and Josh (Renee) Seibert children of Elizabeth, and Carson (Emily) Cornelius, Kendall (Adam) Raines, and Ciara Cornelius children of Faye. John was also blessed with many great grandchildren. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents; 2 daughters; and five siblings: Frank Bores, Charles Bores, L.C. Bores, George Bores, Elizabeth Fountain, and Annie Kinney.
