John A. Hirsch

John was born on January 1, 1923 in Erie, PA and died at Elmcroft of Downriver on December 15, 2017 at the age of 94; he was formerly of Allen Park. Beloved husband of the late Jacqueline. Loving father of Joseph, Janice (Dale) Thomas, Denise (Wayne) Rumple, Jacqueline (John) Wilkins, Robert, John (Kristin) and Mary Ann (Robert) Stewart. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Richard and Leo (Patty), 2 sisters Mary Lou (the late James) Sullivan and Lois (Jerry) Teed as well as other loving family and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Irene (nee: Roesch) Hirsch and one brother Fr. Robert Hirsch, C.Ss.R. John was a proud World War II veteran who served in the 13th U.S. Army Air Force from 1943 through 1945 in the Asian-Pacific Theater.
