Joan Theresa Del Valle

Joan Theresa Del Valle passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on August 23, 2020 in Trenton. Born and raised in New York City, she was the beloved wife of Rogelio for 66 years. She moved to Trenton in 1964 and was the loving mother of Debora, Roy (Jan), Jean Iovino (deceased) and Susan Del Valle. She was also the proud grandmother of Jacquelyn (Dustin Phelps) Del Valle and Emily Martinez and dear sister of Susan (Charles) Braue. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Joan was proceeded in death by her parents Agnes Resto and Joseph Stickert as well as several brothers and sisters. Joan was very involved in her community by being an avid volunteer. At the age of 79, she was honored by the American Legion Auxiliary as the Unit Member of the Year for the State of Michigan for her volunteer efforts. She was a long-time member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 426 and was a member of the Trenton Garden Club. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, doing crafts and spending time with her family and friends. Due to COVID 19 all services are private. A celebration of life will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Joan’s memory to St. Jude’s Hospital.
