Joan Helen Luszczynski

Born March 16, 1935, Joan was the daughter of Herbert & Angela (Duggan) King. She married the love of her life, Fred Luszczynski, on November 14, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rockwood. Sadly he preceded her in death June 3, 1998. A devoted wife and mother, Joan could often be found in her sewing room or baking cookies to fill the cookie jar for all of her grandchildren. Joan's house was the center of activity for family gatherings, the door was always open to everyone. Very dedicated to her faith, she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockwood. Joan leaves to cherish her memory her children: Joni (Mike) Knight of Brownstown, Dan (Barbara) Luszczynski of South Rockwood, Fred Luszczynski of South Rockwood, Mary Jo (Brian) Peer of South Rockwood, Walt (Annie) Luszczynski of Rockwood and Herb (Amy) Luszczynski of Newport; 12 grandchildren: Sarah (Ronn) Chinavare, Eryn Elliott, Jessica Knight, Ted (Chrissy) Luszczynski, Sean Marlor, Adam Peer, Paige Luszczynski, Megan Luszczynski, Emily Luszczynski, Turner Peer, Madalyn Luszczynski and Meredith Luszczynski; 11 great grandchildren: Troy Chinavare, Joni Chinavare, Ashley Chinavare, David Luszczynski, Lukas Luszczynski, Jackson Luszczynski, Cameron Luszczynski, Colton Luszczynski , Leah Marlor, Conner Fox and Shaylynn Marlor; one brother John King of South Rockwood as well as five sisters: Janet (Frank) Bevin of Gibraltar, Alice (Jim) LaPrad of Carleton, Peg (Paul) Crowley of Warren, Trudy Hammons of Melvindale and Beana (Sam) Verduce of Southgate. In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was preceded in death by a son Ted Luszczynski and a brother Richard "Dick" King. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Joan's honor are asked to consider St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockwood.
