Joan Elizabeth Raymond

Born in Monroe, Joan was the daughter of Harold and Julia (Poupard) Raymond. She was educated through the Monroe County Intermediate School System. Joan was very special to all who knew her. She enjoyed collecting trinkets and making unique artwork from her collectables. Joan also enjoyed coloring, listening to music and bowling, but probably her favorite pastime was sitting on her front porch and watching the traffic go by. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie and had participated in the Monroe County Special Olympics. Joan leaves to cherish her memory her loving family; brothers and sisters: Tom Raymond of Monroe, Art (Joyce) Raymond of Monroe, Carol "Kikki" Bomia of Erie, Margaret (C.J.) Schwartz of Temperance and Patricia Lockhart of Columbia, Tennessee; as well as many nieces and nephews who thought of Joan as more of a sister. Sadly she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Harold Raymond and a brother-in-law Edward Bomia. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider Special Olympics or Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
