Born in Wyandotte, Joan was the daughter of Norman & Grace (Gravier) Dennis. She married Austin Moore on December 23, 1967, sadly he preceded her in death May 7, 2010. A dedicated homemaker, Joan also had worked at the Meijer store in Monroe as a greeter for over 10 years, retiring in 1999. A member of the Women of the Moose in Milan, Joan also enjoyed painting, was an avid Elvis Presley fan (having a shrine to him in her house) and loved cooking and was known for her wonderful Potato Pancakes. Joan leaves to cherish her memory her children: Donna Spence of Monroe, Alice (Greg) Magnuson of Las Vegas, Connie (Marty) Groblewsky of North Carolina, Grace (Tim) Alvord of Brownstown, Samuel Moore of Trenton, Victoria (Dennis) Wieneke of Sault St. Marie, MI and Cynthia (Greg) Harouff of Southgate; 5 brothers: John Prieskorn of Las Vegas, Norman (Donna) Dennis of Dundee, Ronald Dennis of Milan, Robert (Shelby) Dennis of Denard , Arkansas, Richard Dennis of Stockbridge, MI; 4 sisters: Carol (Roger) Ashley of Milan, Betty (James) Riley of Milan, Donna Turner of Dundee and Edith (Thomas) McFarland of Jackson, as well as 15 grandchildren: Kelly, Craig, Connie, Jeffrey, Monica, Chareese, Heather, Angela, April, Heidi, Hope, Tony, Jamie, Justin, Jenny and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Delbert Wyman, William Dennis and 6 sisters. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Joan's honor are asked to consider the American Diabetes Association.
