Jo Anne Niedermeier

Jo Anne Niedermeier, age 74 of Naples Florida, formerly of Newport, passed away April 30, 2022 at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Naples. Born August 26, 1947 in Monroe, Jo Anne was the daughter of Clayton “Jim” and Anne (Krauchenko) Niedermeier. A 1965 graduate of Jefferson High School, she then attended Monroe County Community College, Henry Ford Community College and was a graduate of Wayne State University. Jo Anne also faithfully served our country in the United States Air Force. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of Vanderbilt Country Club in Naples, as well as volunteering for Rally for a cure and the Humane Society. Jo Anne was a self-employed accountant and upon retiring and moving to Naples, she worked at Home Depot for the past seven years, a job she loved doing. Jo Anne leaves to cherish her memory her sisters Janice Van Wassehnova and Sue Emerick; nieces: Julie (Greg) Drudi, Barbara Thompson, Sue Biedlingmaier, Catherine (Bob) Thompson and Jane (Jerald) Winkelman; a nephew James (Janice) Emerick; several great and great-great nieces and nephews; as well as a host of friends. Sadly she was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial contributions in honor of Jo Anne may be made to the Humane Society of Monroe County.
