Jimmie Ferguson

November 18, 2021, Jimmie (Fergie) Ferguson passed away in Taylor. He was 88 years old. Jimmie is survived by his children Brett (Susan), Traci (John), Teri (Dale), brothers Roy, Harold (Pat) and Donnie (Cindy). He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife Katherine, his father Claude (Jack) and his mother Mattie (Lee) as well as several other family members. Jimmie was born on March 12, 1933 in Algood, Tennessee. After graduating high school, Jimmie served in the Korean War from 1953 thru 1955. He held several different careers during his working years. He retired in 1995 from Temperature Engineering as a Journeyman pipe fitter and was a proud member of (Local 636) as a pipe fitter. His passions were his family, hunting, woodworking and socializing. He was a lover of life. A memorial service for Jimmie (Fergie) is scheduled for Friday, December 3rd from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, with his service and military presentation beginning at 2:00pm. The service will be held at Martenson Funeral Home located 10915 Allen Road in Allen Park. A Memorial Gathering will be held after the service, location to be announced at the service. A private burial will be held at a later date for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Angela Hospice We Honor Veterans program.
