Click tribute wall link above to watch tribute video. Smith Sr., Jim. Age 74 of Taylor, MI passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Rita Smith. Loving father of James Jr. (Dee), Jeffrey (Betty), and Michael Smith. Cherished papa of Nicholas, Kathleen, Peter, and Andrew Smith. Dear brother of Louis (Helen) Smith. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Ora and Wanda Smith. He will be deeply missed by many loving family and friends. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 10915 Allen Road. There will be a rosary held at 7:00 p.m., followed by military honors performed by the Downriver Veterans Honor Guard at 7:30 p.m. The Mass of Resurrection will follow on Friday, February 11, 2022 at St. Alfred Parish located at 24175 Baske St, Taylor, MI 48180. In State 10:30 a.m. Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery and Mausoleum in Dearborn Heights, MI.
