Jean E. Hawes

Jean E. Hawes, age 96 of Southgate, Riverview, and formerly of Dearborn, passed away peacefully October 4th, 2021. Born July 22nd, 1925 in Highland Park, MI to the late James and Laura Clough. Loving wife of the late Edwin F. Hawes, Sr. Dear mother of Charles (Laura) Hawes, Elaine (the late Michael) Block, Edwin F. Hawes, Jr., Beverly (Jack Sabbe) Hawes, Roy (Renee) Hawes, and Christine (Bruce) Vernham. Proud grandmother of Laura Ann (Tony) Knight, Ralph (Linda) Bentley, Barb (Tim) Lloyd, Don (Emily Clark) Smith, Colleen (Drew) Achterhof, Matt Block, Amanda Block, Brian (Melissa) Eritano, Christopher (Jenn) Eritano, Rochelle (Nick) Gillette, Elizabeth (John) Burnett, Melissa (Ryan) Frantz, and Sarah (Ross Terrasi) Sawyers. Great-grandmother of Robert (Leslie) Knight, Benjamin Knight, Nick Bentley, Allison Bentley, Jonathan Stone, Riley Achterhof, Zack Block, Sophia Block, Dominic Eritano, Emilie Eritano, Max Eritano, Rusty Gillette, Sammy Gillette, Aurora Gillette, Eden Burnett, Merci Bamford (Burnett), Emily Frantz, Benjamin Frantz and Andrew Frantz. Great-great grandmother of Noah Knight, Giovanni Lloyd, and Romeo Lloyd. Beloved sister of Brenda Bodenbach, Gerald Clough, and the late James Clough, Richard Clough, Carol Ann Hemry. Jean was a hockey fan and being from Michigan, enjoyed watching the Detroit Red Wings any chance she could.
