With deep regret, I announce that Jean Anne Mitchell (my Mom) has passed on to the afterlife. Mom lived a very good and full life, however, it was her time to move on to the next phase. Preceding Mom to the afterlife were; her husband Jerry , sons Bob, and Tom, and daughter-in-law Vicky. Those whose lives proceed with our memories of her are: brother Jim , son Bill , daughter-in-law Anna Marie, and grandchildren Kim, Andy, and Brent. Mom was born and raised in Knoxville Tennessee. She graduated high school from Knoxville Catholic High, and college from the University of Tennessee, after which she moved to Michigan. Besides being a wife and raising three sons, Mom spent 25 years teaching school at Anderson Elementary in Trenton, Michigan. As a family, we spent family time on the Great Lakes in southeast Michigan, and on Grand Lake. Upon retirement, Mom and Dad moved to Florida for their primary residence, and spent their summers on Grand Lake. Their travels left footprints on every continent of our planet. With the exception of Antarctica, travels often involved sunshine and beaches. Although she will be missed greatly, it is hoped that everyone will remember her kindness, smile, generosity, … She made the world a better place to live! Mom, we will see you again at a later time! (Mom’s response, “Thanks for the warning!” ☺) Love, Bill In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Knoxville Catholic High School in memory of Jean.
