Jay Abel Tissot

Jay Tissot passed away May 8, 2021 at his home on Grosse Ile. Jay was preceded in death by his parents Abel and Mildred and his first wife Nadine. He is survived by his wife Donna and his sons, Gary (Annette) and Mark (Diane) and granddaughter Marissa (Travis) Rodery and older sister Bette Pieringer. He was the football and track coach and in our school system for 35 years. Those students who were coached by him credit him for molding their character. He was a role model for many. His fairness and dedication to his career was and is greatly appreciated. Jay loved his years as coach, the people he knew and his life on Grosse Ile. He was 93 years old and will be greatly missed.
