Janie Lemerand

Janie Lemerand, age 77 of Rockwood, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 surrounded by her family in her home. Born August 13, 1945, Janie was the daughter of Elmer and Marie (St. Antoine) Glaser. A graduate of Trenton High School, she married the love of her life, Ronald Lemerand, on June 26, 1965. Sadly he preceded her in death April 18, 2010. A dedicated homemaker, Janie also worked as a Bus Aide for many years. She was a member of the Rockwood First Congregational Church and in Outreach Committee. She enjoyed playing Bunko, doing crafts, crocheting, playing board games and cards and taking rides through Lake Erie Metro Park looking for deer, but her most treasured times were those spent with her family. Left to cherish the memories of Janie: Ronda (Tom) Lee and Baby Jane (David) Zurawski; grandchildren Brandon (Maegan) Zurawski, Jamie Lee, Brett Zurawski and Mikayla Lee; three great grandchildren: McKenna Zurawski, Mason Zurawski and Jace Zurawski; as well as three siblings: Kenny (Sharon) Glaser, Phyllis (Jim) Wetzel and Bobby (Carmen) Glaser. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son George Lemerand; and a brother Freddy Glaser.
