Janet L. Chalupka

Born in Trenton, Janet was the daughter of Paul & Helen (Jurczyk) Chalupka. She worked as a cook for many years at the Little Brown Jug in Maybee until her retirement in 2009. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Janet loved horses and was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed bowling, playing pool and was known for being an exceptional softball player. Janet leaves to cherish her memory siblings: June Chalupka of Redford, Jerry Chalupka of Maybee and Jean (Jim Phillips) Haddix of Maybee; nieces and nephews (whom she thought of as her own children) Tom (Barb) Haddix Jr. of Monroe, Lisa (Dan) Straub of Dundee, Laura (John) Oehlers of Lambertville, Jeff (Carrie) Haddix of Maybee, John Lentz of Monroe and Bridget Chalupka of Wayne; as well as many other nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by five brothers: Paul, John, Joe, Jack, Jim and with her fiancé John Bodine.
