Born in Toothukudi, India, Janaki was the daughter of Pappu and Sethammal Naicker. Janaki is survived by her husband Alagarsamy Perumalsamy; and her children: Karthikeyan (Sathiyakala Nagaraj) Alagarsamy, Sakthiganesan (Krithika Subbiah) Alagarsamy and Elamurugu (Rajesh Rengasamy) Rajesh.
