James William Henry

James William Henry, age 79 of Monroe, of Carleton, passed away, Thursday, October 28, 2021. Born September 25, 1942 in Somerset, Pennsylvania, James was the son of Robert and Wilma (Panik) Henry. He faithfully served our country in the United States Army from August 3, 1964 until July 21, 1966. James married the love of his life, Sandra Grevis on May 1, 1965. An accomplished Entrepreneur, he supported his family with many successful businesses throughout his career. James was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and golfing as well as a passion for playing poker. He also was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church. James leaves to cherish his memory, Sandra, his wife of the past 56 years; his children: Christine (Daniel) DeBacker, Andrea (Bruce) Metzger and Katherine (Jeremy) Robinson; 4 grandchildren: Luci Metzger, Joshua Metzger, William Robinson and Jacob Robinson; 3 step grandchildren: Christopher Metzger, Matthew Metzger and David Metzger; as well as 2 siblings: Jack (Daisy) Henry and Stephanie Snyder. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents and 2 siblings: Robert Henry Jr. and Joseph Henry. In accordance with the wishes of the family, entombment services will be private and for the immediate family only. In lieu of cards and flowers, the family requests that anyone who knew Jim would perform an act of kindness or make a donation to a charity of their choosing in honor of the extraordinarily kind, giving and generous man he was.
