James "Unka Jim" Dempsey

Born in Detroit, James was the son of Joseph and Ivy (Holland) Dempsey. He worked for many years for Charles Oehring Well Drilling, retiring in 1999. James was a member of the Estral Beach Fire Department. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and looking for mushrooms. James also enjoyed shooting pool and playing Euchre. James leaves to cherish his memory his daughters: Patricia Morris of Monroe and Teresa Dempsey of Monroe; step-daughter Rebecca Stancil of Missoula, Montana; six grandchildren: Devon Depsey, Tara Ostrowski, Tasha Dempsey, Tristeen Ostrowski, James Morris and Brenden Morris; as well as his siblings William (Ann) Dempsey of Monroe and Mildred Dempsey of Estral Beach. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Joseph Dempsey and Michael "Dave" Dempsey; and a sister Margaret Klatt.
