James "Skip" Armstrong

James "Skip" Armstrong

James, called Mike by his family and Skip by his friends was born in Detroit, MI in 1949. He attended grade school at Christ the Good Shepherd in Lincoln Park and Hall of Divine Child in Monroe. He graduated from Trenton High School in 1966 and attended Michigan State University. James served in the US Army in Vietnam War from 1970-1972. He then began a career in sales and transportation, while retiring in 2009. James was an expert bridge player and an avid baseball fan. He is mourned by his sister (Susan Armstrong Hood) and loved by many nieces and nephews. James was sadly preceded in death by his parents, George Edward Armstrong and Helen Marie Stimac. James was also preceded in death by his late sister, Shirley Armstrong Kovach.
