James Russell Joyce

Click on tribute wall to view James' memorial video. James Russell Joyce, of Taylor Michigan passed away January 15, 2022. James was born July 14, 1944 in Ann Arbor to Russell and Virgina Joyce. Beloved husband of Denise for 38 wonderful years. Loving father to Keri (John) Joyce, Frank (Theresa) Mazurek, Angela (Rey) Rosinski, and Kristine (Brian) Hittinger. Proud grandpa to Matthew (Stephanie) Mazurek, Melissa Mazurek, Joshua Russell, Madison Hittinger, Areyana Balmaceda and Christian Joyce. Dear brother of Anne (the late Bob) Duerr, Dennis (Linda) Long, Paul (Cathy) Joyce, John (Laura) Joyce, Cheryl (Timothy) McNamara, and Shawn (Suzanne) Joyce. Brother-in-law to Gary (Lori) LeCroy, John (Lola) Cross, Rob (Nadine) Newman and Cindy (Gary) Bower. He is also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Angelina Joyce and Virginia (Vernon) Long, and his in- laws Carol and Bob Newman. James loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycles, where he made many lifelong friends at the different clubs and organizations. He had a passion for classic cars including corvettes and Cadillacs. He would often be found smoking one of his cigars. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will always cherish his puppies and the many joys that they brought him; Snoop, Dinker, Cuddles, Sheba, Ginger, Tucker and Lucky. James proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he learned many life lessons. He would always put those to use when he was asked to help someone with something.
