James Marvin Swartz passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 17th at the age of 85. He was a loving husband to Patricia for 61years. He was born on February 23, 1935 to the late Marshall and Bertha Swartz, cattle farmers of Minden city, Mi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Bertha and brother Ronald. Survived by wife Patricia, Son James (Lisa), daughter Helen, grandson Michael (fiance' Kelsey) granddaughter Anne, brother John (Joyce) and many loving nieces and nephews. He was just 21 years old when he became an officer(3rd mate) on the Ford motor freighter ships. He sailed the great lakes for many years. He left as his children were born and became a residential painter. He started his own painting business. He was well known and respected on Grosse Ile and downriver. He coached CYO baseball for many years and won a championship for St Cyril's When he retired he traveled all over with his loving wife and lived life to the fullest. He will be terribly missed forever by all his family and friends. Love you Dad ❤️ ● Prayers for the family would be appreciated.
