James Ellenburg

It is with great sadness to announce on the morning of December 25th, James “Bones” Ellenburg, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Taylor, MI at the age of 79. James was born in Pineville, Kentucky on March 10th, 1941, to Otis and Mae Ellenburg. He moved to Detroit, MI where he met the love of his life, Patricia (Luellen) Ellenburg. They married on May 28th, 1982. James was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit. James owned two corvettes and had a great passion for them. He honored the United States of America by serving in the US Army during The Vietnam War. James was a family guy, and there was nothing he liked more than to have the grandchildren over. He had a great interest in watching NASCAR racing. James will be loved and missed by surviving wife, Patricia, sister Kathleen Reynolds, children; Marylyn, Robin, Jimmy, Jamie and William, and many grandchildren. At James request, no services will be held.
