James D. Peltier, age 83 of Monroe, passed away October 1, 2024 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
Born June 20, 1941 in Monroe, James was the son of Hudson and Elda (Aller) Peltier. A 1959 graduate of Monroe High School, he continued his education at Ferris State University as well as the University of Toledo. James married Patricia Iocoangeli on November 19, 1982. He had a very long and accomplished career serving as City Planner for Monroe, County Executive in Alpena and founded Gold Cross Ambulance Service in Wisconsin, just to name a few. James was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and had been a member of the Monroe Jaycees.
James leaves to cherish his memory, Patricia, his wife of the past 41 years, 7 children: James (Lisa) Peltier, Steven (Diana) Peltier, Nathan (Heather) Brewer, Nanette Zavala, Paula (Gary) Cuperus, Marc (Julie) Iocoangeli and David (Rhonda) Iocoangeli; as well as 20 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild and a sister Beth Ann Choate. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents.
