James D. Tolbert

Born in Monroe, James was the son of Clarence & Dorothy (Harrell) Tolbert. A veteran of the United Stated Air Force, James married the love of his live, Sara Clark, on February 7, 1959. James' hobbies included collecting coins, running marathons and fishing on his boat. James leaves to cherish his memory, Sara, his wife of the past 54 years; his four children: Dawn (Jim) Szuma of Brownstown, Kevin (Gloria) Tolbert of Fowlerville, Tammy Tolbert of Portland, Oregon and Mark (Tracie) Tolbert of Davenport, Iowa; as well as nine grandchildren: Anthony Tolbert, Joshua Tolbert, Nicholas Tolbert, Spencer Tolbert, Zachary Tolbert, Travis Tolbert, Devin Tolbert, Michael Szuma, Dana Szuma and one sister Louise Turner of Monroe. Sadly James was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Irene Whitaker.
