James Charles Timmis

James (Jim) C. Timmis, of Grosse Ile and Ypsilanti, passed away August 27, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Patricia. Loving dad of John M Timmis (Starr Wallace), the late James P. Timmis, and Katherine (Eric) Balint. Cherished grandfather of Christopher (Lori) Timmis, Shawn (Elysa) Timmis, and Stephen Balint. Proud great grandfather of Kali, Karlee and Drew. Jim was inducted as a Free and Accepted Mason in 1957, honored as a 3rd degree Master Mason and serving the needs of others for over 70 years as a lifetime member of the Phoenix Lodge #13 F & M , Ypsilanti MI. Jim enjoyed bowling, was an avid golfer ,and loved music and watching Tiger baseball. Jim’s kindness and infectious smile will be missed by all who knew him. The family wishes memorial contributions be made to angelahospice.org in memory of James Timmis.

Masonic Memorial and Rite to Burial Service will be held on September 23, 2023 at 10:30 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 11575 Belleville Rd., Belleville, MI 48111.
