James C. Osborn

James was born on April 27, 1941 in Wyandotte, MI and died on May 18, 2017 at his home in Flat Rock. Beloved husband of 22 years to Marie. Loving dad of Kristie Fields, Derik (Brandy), Greg (Amanda), Ronald (Penny), Theresa Allain, Michael (Wendy) and Louis (Dawn). Also survived by 18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren as well as other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Charles and Madeline (nee: Emilko) Osborn. James retired from the Woodhaven Police Department and for many years was an assistant soccer coach at Woodhaven High School. He loved working with wood and one year for Christmas he made cedar chests for each of his 7 children. Family was his love in life and he will be greatly missed. Visitation is on Sunday from 3 – 9 pm at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton. Funeral service including military honors to be presented by the Downriver Veterans Honor Guard is on Monday at 10 am at the funeral home; Pastor Brett Kays from Southpoint Community Christian Church will officiate and Terry Bradley will serve as the bagpiper.
